As part of the 1916-2016 commemoration ceremonies the school held their Proclamation Day 15th. Pupils from the senior classes led by Ms.O`Brien performed the play ” A Triumph of All Sorts”which gave an insight to the background of the rising and the events that took place during the week.All classes helped out with the music with the junior classes giving a brilliant rendition of Molly Malone.

The school was tasked as part of the project with writing their own proclamation or vision for this country for the coming century. All families were asked to contribute to this and the ideas were used to formulate the final document. /perch/resources/poblacht-na-heireann.docx

The final part of the ceremony involved was the raising of the national flag which was presented to the school by the defense forces earlier in the year. Two pupils ,Lucy and Matthew were chosen to do so.
